I have a volunteer session at a Bethany Care Centre from 2-3 pm and it's an old folks home, basically, although they have people with Alzheimer, Parkinson, etc. as well. My favorite 'old person' is this guy called George. He's totally sweet and he's got that really nice I'm-old-but-I-can-tell-you-so-many-stories vibe. Yep, I'm a total sucker for that vibe, lol. I asked him the first time I met him, "So, do you like pop music?"
He looked at me and then said in his super soft voice, "If you like it, I like it."
AWWWWWWW! That was the moment I realized I freaking loved him. xD
At Bethany, we do a lot of awesome crap. Yes, crap can be awesome, so suck it. We do crafts, read books, watch TV, walk around, do some exercise (like balloon badminton), cook, make cookies, and other cool-cat stuff like that. It's like an exclusive club where you can do whatever you want. My favorite part of volunteering there, however, is having to use a code to get it. It makes me feel like I'm part of the FBI or something. Totally awesome, lol.
I'm going to be doing a post on my budget, my back to school wishlist, my back to school studying tips, my back to school makeup, and some back to school hair ideas. If I don't write it all down, I'll forget it all and I need to remember all this shit, yo.
I'm gonna go eat my breakfast now. Yeah, like you need to know every minute of my life, lol. This isn't Twitter, thank goodness.
